It revealed that the garden feature that adds the most value to a property is in fact – a shed or summer house! 82% of property professionals claim a decent-sized shed or summer house is the most cited feature to boost value.

The next on the list was a good quality patio or paving 76% and sturdy decking 62%.  This is crucial to have space to sit and enjoy your garden.  Additionally, comfortable seating is vital if you are trying to create a luxurious outdoor space. Simply bring all the comforts of the indoors to your patio, deck or other outdoor area via furniture, appliances and other amenities designed for alfresco enjoyment.

Others that came high up on the list were secure fencing, walls or gates (72%), adequate outdoor lighting (66%) and water features (58%).

A combination of these top garden features would come in handy when it comes to selling your property. The right garden can add anywhere between five to 20% to your property’s value!
