This enchanting cottage is located in the sought after village of Burley in Wharfedale and is located in the conservation area, overlooking the village green. With local conveniences, the train station and the beautiful Yorkshire moors all just a few minutes walk away, charming this stone-fronted grade II property is truly charming.
The white front door is set behind a little front garden. Entering the property is the cosy living room, neutrally decorated and with a lovely fireplace. It simply invites you to get cosy and curl up on the sofa with a cup of hot chocolate.
To the rear of the cottage, the galley style kitchen is not huge but perfectly formed with good storage; its slightly rustic style is completely in sync with the style of this property. The dutch door adds to the cottage charm.
Up the stairs, you have two bedrooms and a shower room. The main bedroom is a good double, with clever storage above the stairs and fitted wardrobes down one side of the room. The second bedroom is a small single or like the current owner, it makes an ideal office and craft room. The shower room has been recently refitted in modern contemporary tones and marble tiles to offer a hint of luxury. This room has been well thought out to make the most of the space.
To the rear of the property, there is a small walled area that's big enough for a small table and a couple of chairs, although not a big area it provides the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and just forget any worries.
This lovely little cottage also benefits from new timber-framed windows and doors. The current owner has loved living in this memorable home and enjoyed the close-knit community of their fellow residents as well as all the convenience of Leeds and Ilkley being easily accessible and the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside close by.
